Chongqing is located in the southwest of China, in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. In the transition zone between the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River plain.

There are buses in the north of Chongqing, fog in the east of the mountain, Wuling Mountain in the southeast of the mountain and Dalou Mountain in the south. The urban area of Chongqing is between 168-400 meters above sea level.

Chongqing is known as the city of fog because the annual average foggy days reach 104 days. The reason why there is so much fog is caused by the dual effects of terrain and climate.

The main stream of the Yangtze River runs through the entire territory of Chongqing, with a length of about 665 kilometers. There are famous Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge in this basin.
