Generally speaking, the Yi, Naxi and Jinuo people hold the Torch Festival on 24 June of the lunar calendar, while the Bai nationality holds the Torch Festival on June 25 and the Lahu nationality on June 20 for a period of about 2-3 days.

Torch Festival has profound folk cultural connotation and is very famous at home and abroad, so it is also called “Carnival of the East”. Mainly include bullfighting, sheep fighting, cockfighting, horse racing, wrestling, song and dance performances, beauty pageants and other activities.

The Torch Festival is celebrated for three days:
Day 1: Fire sacrifice. On this day, everyone wore their beloved dress, happy.
